Our Mandate-
To provide a holistic ministry to individuals and families within our region that is transformational in character and conduct that will meet the needs of people and facilitate Jesus’ goal of changing lives.
Our Method-
East Lake Church is a full-service ministry, open to the community seven days each week, providing ministries and services that meet needs and answer questions. Whether it is bible study or basketball tournaments; health and healing ministries or affordable housing; Spirit-driven worship experiences or schools of excellence for children of all ages; purpose-driven teaching or Promiseland Daycare; family nurture or Alcoholic and Substance abuse meetings; Kingdom Men’s Café, the Beacon Bookstore and Gift Shop, Kingdom Kidz Day Camp or Seniors food & friendship and so much more. East Lake is in the heart of the city with the city in it’s heart.
Our Model-
Is the Acts 2:42-47 church. Those who had been lost, disconnected, locked out, looked over and left behind became a community of faith. Loving, sharing, and giving to each other, all to the glory of God. The wounded are now healers and change agents in the lives of all they meet and influence.
Our Means-
East Lake Church is deeply committed to skilled teaching of the word of God; to a integral place of prayer in the life of the believer both publically and privately, and powerful, practical proclamation o f the gospel within the context of Spirit-filled worship services that saves and changes person’s lives. Our public worship enables us to celebrate what God is doing, to build faith for what we need Him to do, and share the joy of our experience with others.
East Lake Church will soon begin construction on a state-of-the art Worship and Conference Center (a.k.a.:E.L.C.W.C.C.) which will facilitate many new technology-driven ministries for a 21st century church. East Lake is home to Promiseland Daycare and Child Development Center, the Kingdom Men’s Café ( a four star restaurant), Empowerment Academy- Clairpointe Campus ( a public high school academy), Beacon Bookstore and Gift Shop, A.A. and Substance Abuse Group, the E.B.A. Basketball League and twenty five other life changing ministries offered to the region 7 days per week. East Lake is “The Light Shining from the East in Detroit” in the heart of the city, with the city in it’s heart. | |
